Whenever the melting rocks find a crevice in the formation they can flow through out this crevice, these flowing rocks is called the magma, if it finds a vertical path it then travells vertically in such a case, we call the magma (a dyke) whenever it finds a lateral way, it' s then called (a sill). and when it arrives to the suface of the earth a volcano occurs and the magma is now called the Lava.
